The fifth round of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe season unfolded at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, where a weekend of blazing temperatures put both drivers and cars to the test. The spotlight was on Ferrari 296 Challenge cars, with official Ferrari driver Thomas Neubauer acting as race advisor. True to tradition, the Zanasi Group hosted guests, clients, and partners in its stylish Spanish hospitality suite, once again reaffirming its commitment to offering engaging experiences.
Uphill struggle for Zanasi during a weekend marked by setbacks followed by comebacks
While the Spanish round was marred by a string of misfortunes, Marco Zanasi showed unwavering determination in both the Trofeo Pirelli AM races.
In Race 1, Modena’s Marco Zanasi was caught up in an collision during the early laps that earned him a drive-through penalty. Despite a determined attempt to regain ground, he was further hampered by a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits.
From last on the grid in Race 2, Zanasi mounted an impressive comeback, climbing ten places in just a few laps to finish 10th overall thanks to a string of decisive overtaking manoeuvres.
A bitter ending to a race that promised so much more.

Next up for the Ferrari Challenge Europe is Barcelona, with the Circuit de Catalunya ready to host the sixth round of the season. For Marco Zanasi, it will be the perfect opportunity to turn the page and get back on track with his goals for the season.
