Sustainability and biodiversity: Zanasi Group launches the Zanasi Bee Project together with nearby agricultural enterprise, Bagolé Farm, to protect bees and the environment, and promote local beekeeping.
A closer look at the Zanasi Bee Project
Zanasi Group has chosen to support Bagolé Farm through the Zanasi Bee Project, a tangible commitment to protecting bees. Launched with a long-term vision, the project aims to combine the production of quality honey with the protection of pollinating insects, which are essential for both local ecosystems and agriculture.
Over the next three years, 200 hives will be installed throughout the area, each one with the capacity to house up to 100,000 bees, which will be able to pollinate approximately a million flowers every day. In addition to fostering biodiversity, the hives will help absorb approximately 300 kg of CO2 per year, demonstrating how protecting bees has a positive impact on the entire ecosystem.
From hives to homes, a forward-thinking commitment to the local community
Zanasi Group’s support is also reflected in the end product with the Zanasi logo proudly displayed on both the hives and the honey jars, clearly conveying a message of sustainability and traceability. The initiative creates tangible value for the local community by fostering responsible agricultural practices and offering new economic sources of income while also reinforcing the company’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
