Zanasi Racing is born: passion, expertise, and adrenaline in the Italian GT Championship

Zanasi Group expands its commitment to the world of racing with the launch of Zanasi Racing, a new team making its debut in the 2026 Italian Gran Turismo Championship with a strong and ambitious presence. The project, which combines vision, technical expertise, and a passion for racing, marks a new milestone for the company and for all motorsport enthusiasts.

A diverse and competitive team built on the experience and vision of Marco Zanasi

At the heart of Zanasi Racing is Marco Zanasi, President of Zanasi Group and a driver with years of experience in competitions such as the Ferrari Challenge. His long-standing involvement in the racing world has enabled the creation of strong relationships with professionals and collaborators, giving rise to a team capable of competing credibly at a national level.

“We are proud to present Zanasi Racing,” explained Marco Zanasi, “a project that represents the natural evolution, in the motorsport field, of the experience gained by Zanasi Group over more than 50 years of activity, combined with my personal experience as a driver, including in the Ferrari Challenge. We will compete in the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship with four Ferrari 296 Challenge cars entrusted to eight drivers with different backgrounds and experiences. The goal is to embrace a new sporting challenge and compete at the highest level in a highly competitive environment.”

For the 2026 season, Zanasi Racing will field four Ferrari 296 Challenge cars, entrusted to a team of eight drivers with diverse personalities and backgrounds:

  • Giacomo Ghermandi, driver-entrepreneur in the energy sector
  • Vittoria Piria, also known for her role as a sports commentator on Sky Sport F1
  • Andrea Fontana, reigning champion
  • Tommaso Lovati, a driver on a continuously evolving competitive path
  • Victor Briselli, already established in the BMW racing championship
  • Luca Demarchi, with numerous successes in the motorsport world
  • Matteo Sartori and Mattia Simonini, young emerging talents ready to prove themselves

This combination of experience and youth reflects the vision of Zanasi Racing: bringing together talent, determination, and development to tackle a highly competitive championship with ambition.

A launch event focused on innovation

The team was officially unveiled on March 26 at SIM Lounge, the exclusive hub of Zanasi Group dedicated to the design and development of advanced driving simulators. The space, conceived to combine technology and passion, became the perfect stage to present drivers and cars to the press and fans.

During the event, the car liveries were also revealed—four distinct color configurations that enhance the identity of each crew while maintaining a strong visual coherence that will make the team instantly recognizable on track.

Performance and engagement beyond the race

Zanasi Racing is not focused solely on on-track performance. The project stands out for its integrated approach, combining competitive performance with off-track experience, with particular attention to hospitality and engagement for drivers and partners. This approach reflects Zanasi Group’s way of doing motorsport, which has always blended technique, passion, and innovation.
