Just a few hours after it was launched, the Aprilia Tuono V4X was already sold out! The first series of ten bikes, which was announced at the end of August 2020, were virtually all snapped up immediately. An outstanding result for Aprilia Racing, which will be putting two more ten-bike runs into production.
Totalling just 30 bikes, this limited edition series approved for track use only was developed and assembled in Noale by the Aprilia Racing department.
Aprilia Tuono V4X: technical features
Weighing just 166 kg and putting out 221 hp, the Tuono V4X is a racetrack model that offers a unique riding experience and special thrills. To increase stability at high speeds during critical stages like braking and acceleration, for the first time on a bike of this kind, the front has been fitted out with an oversized aerodynamic carbon appendage inspired by the Aprilia RS-GP models used in MotoGP.
The engine originates from the unit featured on the RSV4 1100 Factory, bringing output in the model to 221 hp. The Akrapovic exhaust system is equipped with titanium manifolds and a carbon tip, while the air filter is a Sprint Filter component, the same as used by Aprilia Racing in MotoGP. Electronic tuning is performed by the control unit, which features revised operating logics and engine control and vehicle dynamics maps developed by Aprilia Racing.
Zanasi Group uses unique paintwork to produce the “Bol d’Or” design for the Aprilia Tuono V4X, inspired by the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory model
For such a special version, Aprilia Racing called on Zanasi Group to deliver the paintwork for the “Bol d’Or” graphic design, inspired by the Aprilia RSV 1000 R Factory that was used to compete in the historic endurance race in 2006. New and important recognition, then, for the group’s excellence in this field, which certainly contributes exclusivity and uniqueness to Aprilia’s latest Tuono V4X model.
